Transect is an online software with a vision to balance the conservation of the natural world with the needs of the built world by automating archaic environmental compliance processes. We started in 2017, we are venture-backed (i.e. we're solid on funding), and we are growing fast! We have a solid customer base that loves us and we’re expanding into new markets. The Transect engineering team is looking for a creative and motivated full-time senior software engineer with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills to help us continue to build a quality software product.
What you will do:
- Build, release, and maintain product features on our NestJS backend and Angular frontend web application
- Improve overall system security, scalability, reliability, monitorability, and performance
- Periodically solve bug reports coming through support to ensure our product is stable and usable
- Conduct code reviews to ensure consistent quality across our code bases
- Make architectural decisions related to new and existing features
What you should have:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience using Angular, React, or another modern JavaScript framework
- Experience with PostgreSQL, PostGIS is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience
- Preferred to live in the San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX area
