Leadership Team

Robin Laine is the CEO and Co-founder of Transect. For almost twenty years, she has been helping infrastructure developers manage land risk on their proposed projects. Robin is the driving force behind Transect's mission to balance the conservation of the natural world with the needs of the built world by making site assessment easy for those in the energy, infrastructure, and real estate industries.

Before Transect, Robin was a field biologist, project manager, division director, and national program manager for local, regional, and national environmental consulting firms.

She has surveyed thousands of acres of land for sensitive resources like endangered species and wetlands, navigated complex federal, state, and local permitting for hundreds of development projects, served as in-house environmental staff for Fortune 500 companies, and given educational presentations nationwide on mitigating environmental risk.
